Happy 10th Birthday, Oakley

I don't believe he was born 10, yes, 10 years ago! What a awesome young man he is. Cousins came over to celebrate a bit and that was great cause all three of them were around to come over. That was a very special get together for Oakley. Mariah turned 17 on Jan. 14, and then Oakley was 10 on the 15th. Happy, Happy Birthday to both of you.

Then comes trouble! We had a small sleep over with these ruffyans. These boys had so much fun, they are all great kids and a little bit crazy. Oakley loved his party and didn't get much sleep, which is just what he wanted.

Okay, I can't get enough pics of these two.

I took these at the airport while waiting to Pat to fly in. As each day goes flying by I see Oakley and Cedar changing and growing into the most amazing little beings, ever! I love to talk to them about everything and see how they view the world they live in and the lives they come in contact with. They both have a great group of friends and are really good people. I don't know what will be in each of their futures but I sure hope they can stay the beautiful, loving, fun, hopeful, creative, honest, smart, athletic, happy, precious, thoughtful, adventurers, the list goes on and on and on, wonderful people. I just had to say a little about the most important people in my life.

Puzzles.

We totally love doing puzzles. We got these from Grandma and Grandpa.
Cedar took this beautiful sunrise pic out the back door so Daddy could see it. He was in Omaha for work. She has the eye for some beautiful pics.

16 foot tree, didn't look quite this tall in the forest.

We loved out tree, it was pretty hard to decorate and a bit dangerous on the latters, but it was a perfect tree this year.
Santa was so great to all of us and we enjoyed our family time over the holidays.

Off to get the Christmas Tree.

I know everyone is not into Christmas anymore but bear with me on how late I am. We headed out to get a tree and I loved this little house. The mountains behind it is where we ended up. Our tree permit only cost $5 pretty good deal. I always have emotional issues with killing a tree for Christmas, so I read an article an it recommended cutting a tree because it is better for the environment. They say an artificial tree generally gets thrown out after 3 to 5 years and then they can stay in a landfill for 50 years or more. that made me feel a little better but still not into the killing of the tree.
So here we are driving up this road and all the trees are huge! and I look to the side of the road and there lies a tree in the snow. We looked at it and it was perfect! Tall and a little Charlie Brownish, just what I wanted. This was the perfect situation, because we didn't actually have to be the ones to kill the tree and someone left it to just dry up here so we got to take it as our lovely Christmas Tree and all was well in the world.
Our little Angels.

Hello out there in blog land.

Okay, Okay, my last post was in November 2007. Here are a few pics from December to get me caught up.
We had a fun holiday season, the Light parade, Starbucks coffee and hot chocolate and the Christmas in the night time sky fireworks.
